Rental car without credit card

At STARCAR, your affordable car rental company, you can rent a car without a credit card and pay by debit card. Please note that to rent a car you will need a driving license valid for at least a year and a German ID or passport with confirmation of registration or an electronic residence permit. Here you can find out which vehicles you can rent without a credit card.

You can rent cars from our vehicle groups A to E without a credit card if you have at least 1 year's driving experience. When picking up the rental car, you will need to pay a deposit and provide a credit report. Please discuss the exact conditions with the relevant rental station.

Vehicle groups A to FP - rental cars with EC card:
You can also rent our rental cars from vehicle groups A to FP without a credit card. To rent a vehicle from these groups, you only need to have had a driving license for at least 1 year. When you pick up the car, you pay a deposit at your car rental office.

Vehicle groups K to L2 and M2 & CA - rental cars with EC card:
In addition to rental cars from group A to FP, you can also rent rental cars from vehicle groups K to L2, M2, CA & SK to SM2 without a credit card by leaving a deposit. To rent a vehicle from these groups, you only need to have a driving license for at least 1 year.

Book a truck without a credit card:
Anyone renting a truck can pay by EC card. If you book without a credit card, a rental deposit is required. In addition, you need to have at least one year's driving experience to rent a truck from groups 1 to 7, or at least three years' driving experience to rent a truck from groups 8 to 9.

Vehicle groups G to IP, M and MP - only with credit card:
When booking these cars, we only accept a credit card. A cash deposit is not required. For vehicle groups G to IP, the driver must be 23 years of age or older.

VIP cars - only with credit card:
These vehicles can also only be rented with a credit card. The driver must be 25 years of age or older and have at least 5 years of driving experience. In the vehicle groups S2, S7 and S9, a driving experience of at least 7 years is required. A cash deposit is not required for these rental cars.
