Requirements for renting a car with us in Berlin without a credit card
If you would like to rent a car from your STARCAR car rental company without a credit card, we require the following conditions:
- You have reached the age of 18
- You have held your driver's license for at least one year
- You present your German ID or passport plus confirmation of registration/electronic residence permit when picking up the vehicle
- You pay a deposit for the rental car

Cars that you can rent in Berlin without a credit card
- Payment by EC card
Payment by EC card is possible for these rental cars: These are vehicle groups A to FP. This category also includes multi-seaters in vehicle groups K to L2 and M2. Groups CA and SK to SM2 can also be booked by EC card. A deposit must also be paid when booking by EC card.
Trucks that you can rent in Berlin without a credit card

We rent out trucks of almost any size without credit card payment. Please note, however, that we require at least 3 years of driving experience for groups 08 and 09, as these are 7.49 and 12-ton trucks respectively. For groups 01 to 07, one year's driving experience is sufficient.
Rental cars that can only be hired with a credit card
The following applies to vehicle groups G to IP, M and MP: Bookings can only be made by credit card. No deposit is required; this will be blocked on the credit card. In addition, for vehicle groups G to IP, the driver must be at least 23 years of age. When renting a VIP car, the driver must be at least 25 years old and have at least 5 years of driving experience. For vehicle groups S2, S7 and S9, the driver must have at least 7 years' driving experience.
