We keep you mobile - day and night! For decades, we have maintained a trusting working relationship with brokers, insurance companies, assistance companies and many other partners. We are available day and night to keep our customers mobile as quickly as possible. Thanks to our 24-hour all-round service and our emergency services at the stations, we are able to rent out replacement cars at over 100 stations throughout Germany. If things need to move particularly quickly, vehicles can be booked directly with us without having to pay in advance.

Right to a replacement car

After a breakdown or accident, you are entitled to replacement mobility as part of a vehicle insurance policy or if you are a member of an automobile club. The manufacturer's warranty may also cover the use of a replacement vehicle in the event of a vehicle defect.

The direct route to a replacement car

Step 1: Claim check

  • Contact the insurance company, automobile club or manufacturer to check claims and assumption of costs
  • Note: As a rule, no extras are covered; it is worth asking in more detail here

Step 2: Cost coverage

  • If the customer is entitled to a replacement vehicle, the insurance company, automobile club or manufacturer will contact STARCAR directly, depending on the case, and provide a cost coverage agreement. This regulates which costs are covered and instructs us to provide the appropriate replacement mobility
  • STARCAR will contact the customer and organize everything else

Step 3: Alternative direct booking

  • If a confirmation of costs (in writing) is available, this can also be submitted to us directly
